SAP security note 1634348, “Adaption of applications using NW BTF Editor”, is a program error note released on 13.12.2011. Below are the symptom and SAP recommended solution.
Description
Symptom
Some functions in the Employee Interaction Center that use the BTF editor can be abused by a malicious user, allowing them to modify application content, persist the modified content without authorization, and potentially obtain authentication information from other legitimate users.
Solution
After implementing the support packages listed below, the content processed by the BTF editor will be filtered. If filtering of the content is not possible, the content will be removed.
Reason and prerequisites
This issue is due to changes in the BTF Editor.
