Description

Symptom

An authenticated user can use functions of NWBC that should be restricted, potentially resulting in an escalation of privileges.

Solution

This issue is fixed with:

  • NWBC 3.0 SP0 PL10
  • NWBC 3.5 SP0 PL1

Reason and prerequisites

NWBC does not enforce authorization checks for certain functions, which may lead to undesired system behavior.
