Symptom
UPDATE 22nd June 2017: This note has been re-released with updated "validity of manual instructions from Release 2006_1_640 to Release PI_BASIS 2005_1_640"
An authenticated user can use functions of BC-SRV-ALV to which access should be restricted. This may result in an escalation of privileges.
Solution
Implement the correction instructions using the Note Assistant or import the relevant Support Package.
This correction causes a side effect described in SAP Note 2065697: SAPRCKAPP01_WAO: Display Materials To Be Costed without result.
Reason and prerequisites
BC-SRV-ALV does not contain authorization checks for checking an authenticated user’s authorization to access some of its functions. This may result in undesired system behavior.
