Description

Symptom

An authenticated user can use functions of SAP Kernel to which access should be restricted. This may result in an escalation of privileges.

Solution

The correction introduces an authorization check for S_RZL_ADM ACTVT 01 to access PSE data. Please implement the patch level mentioned in this SAP Note.

Reason and prerequisites

SAP Kernel does not contain authorization checks for verifying an authenticated user’s authorization to access some of its functions. This may result in undesired system behavior.

Affected components

  • KERNEL 7.42 (64-BIT)
  • KERNEL 7.45 (64-BIT UNICODE)
