Symptom

An authenticated user can use functionality of an obsolete RFC to which access should be restricted. This can potentially result in an Escalation of Privileges.

Solution

You can use the correction instructions if SPs are not yet available. Then beforehand, definitely check SAP Note 875986 for transaction SNOTE.

This note might already be available before the Support Package is released. In this case, however, the short text still contains the terms “preliminary version”.

Reason and prerequisites

RFC in BC-WB lacks permission checks for an authenticated user’s authorization to access some of its functionality. This may result in undesired system behavior.
