Symptom
CRM Rule Builder Application (Component CRM-BF-BRF-RM) can be abused by a malicious user, allowing unauthorized modification of displayed application content and potentially obtaining authentication information from other legitimate users.
Solution
Apply this SAP Note 1678581 or import the changes via the relevant support package.
Reason and prerequisites
BSP Pages FDT_EXP/RULEPREVIEW.HTM and FDT_EXP/STATEMENTSVIEW.HTM within the CRM Rule Builder Application do not sufficiently encode output parameters, resulting in a cross-site scripting vulnerability. This can be exploited to steal users' authentication information, enabling impersonation and access to sensitive data.
