Symptom
This security note addresses a Potential Directory Traversal vulnerability in the FI-LOC component. The vulnerability allows a malicious user to:
Read arbitrary files: potentially read any file on the remote server, leading to the disclosure of confidential information.
Write arbitrary files: potentially write files on the remote server, which could corrupt data or alter system behavior.
Solution
To mitigate this vulnerability, please refer to SAP Note 1497003 for additional information and instructions. Implementing the corrections from note 1497003 is a prerequisite for applying this security note.
