Description

Symptom

An attacker can abuse WEBCUIF to modify displayed application content without authorization and potentially obtain authentication information from other legitimate users.

Solution

Implement the attached correction instructions to mitigate the XSS vulnerability.

Reason and prerequisites

The class CL_THTMLB_FORM within WEBCUIF does not sufficiently encode input URL parameters, leading to a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability. This can be exploited to deface or modify web content temporarily or steal user authentication information.

Affected components

  • CRMUIF: Versions 520, 600
  • WEBCUIF: Versions 700, 701, 730, 731, 746
