Description
Symptom
The Web Admin Console of ICM and SAP Web Dispatcher can be abused by an attacker, allowing them to modify displayed application content without authorization and potentially obtain authentication information from other legitimate users.
Solution
Install the kernel patch provided in this security note to address the vulnerability.
Reason and prerequisites
The Web Admin Console within ICM and SAP Web Dispatcher does not sufficiently encode input parameters, resulting in a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This flaw can be exploited to non-permanently deface or modify displayed content from a website and steal users’ authentication information, potentially allowing attackers to impersonate users and gain unauthorized access.
