SAP security note 2058351, “Missing authorization check in BC-VMC”, is a program error note released on May 12, 2015. Below are the symptom and SAP recommended solution.
Description
Symptom
An authenticated user can access BC-VMC functions, although access to these functions should be restricted. This may result in an escalation of privileges.
Solution
Import the specified version of the Support Package for your SAP_BASIS release. The correction implements an authorization for the authorization object `S_VMCADMIN`.
Reason and prerequisites
BC-VMC does not contain authorization checks for verifying an authenticated user’s authorization to access some of its functions. This may result in undesired system behavior.
