SAP security note 2638175, "[CVE-2019-0251] Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in SAP Business Objects Fiori Launchpad", is a program error note released on 12.02.2019. Below are the symptom and SAP recommended solution.
Description
Symptom
The Fiori Launchpad of SAP Business Objects does not sufficiently encode user-controlled inputs, resulting in a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability.
Some well-known impacts of XSS vulnerability are:
- Non-permanently deface or modify displayed content from a website
- Steal authentication information of the user, such as data relating to their current session
- Impersonate the user and access all information with the same rights as the target user
Solution
This issue is fixed in the patches listed in the "Support Packages & Patches" section below.
The "Support Packages & Patches" section will be populated with the relevant patch levels once they are released.
